Mexico trip program

April 23 to May 5, 2008

DAY 1 - April 23

Gathering at Larnaca airport.  Departure with Lufthansa German Airlines for Mexico City with intermediate stop in Frankfurt.  Arrival in Mexico City late in the afternoon and transfer to hotel.

DAY 2 - April 24

Excursion to the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán, an amazing Aztec city.   Visit to its main sights such as the Moon and the Sun pyramids.  After lunch continue for visit to the “Basilica de Guadalupe”.  Return to hotel for rest.  Dinner at a typical Mexican Hacienda.

DAY 3 - April 25

Mexico City tour that includes “Zocalo” Square, the famous mural paintings of Diego Rivera, the Cathedral and the Templo Mayor, the Reforma Avenue and Chapultepec zone.  Lunch and tour of the National Anthropology Museum.  Return to hotel for rest.  Dinner at a Mexican Cantina.

DAY 4 - April 26

Departure for Taxco, also known as the “World Silver Capital”.  You will have the opportunity to do some serious silver shopping there!  After lunch, continue to Acapulco to spend the night at our hotel there.  Dinner at the “Quebrada” where you can observe courageous men jump off high cliffs opposite the restaurant and into the ocean!

DAY 5 - April 27

Departure from Acapulco, continue for Cuernavaca.  Tour of the city and lunch.  Transfer to the airport to take the evening flight for Cancun.  Arrive to Cancun and transfer to hotel.

DAY 6 - April 28

Day free to enjoy this Caribbean paradise.  You can spend the day by the beach or visit the many American style shopping Malls of the city.  Afternoon departure by boat to Isla De Mujeres (Women’s Island) for the Carnival Dinner party.

DAY 7 - April 29

Full day excursion to Chichen Itza, one of the new seven wonders of the world. Lunch in a local restaurant where you can also visit its Cenote (an underground water cave).  Visit of a local Mayan village.  Dinner and transfer to the Pyramids area to watch a magical show called “Light and Sound”.  Transfer back to hotel in Cancun.  

DAY 8 - April 30

Departure from hotel for the Playa Del Carmen Pier to take the ferry boat to the near by island of Cozumel.  Free time to explore one of the most famous Caribbean islands.  Afternoon return by ferry and then transfer to the hotel.  Free evening to explore the many restaurants Cancun and Playa Del Carmen have to show.  

DAY 9 - May 1

We leave this day free to allow you to explore Cancun according to your interests. We will provide you with a list from which you can choose an excursion or an activity that you want (please note that the cost for the activity is extra).  Alternatively you can make your own plans or simply relax and enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

DAY 10 - May 2

Flight back to Mexico City.  Transfer to hotel for rest or visit the many shops of the area for some shopping.  Special “Farewell Dinner” with show at the “Guadalajara De Nocce” with typical Mexican cuisine.

DAY 11 - May 3

Visit to “Xochimilco” with lunch.  Enjoy the Mariachi songs through the water canals. Return to hotel for check out and transfer to Mexico City “Benito Juarez” International Airport.

DAY 12 - May 4

Arrival at Frankfurt airport and change airplane for Larnaca.

DAY 13 - May 5

Arrival at Larnaca airport (just after midnight of the 4th May).
