Royal Jordan Itinerary

Day 1 - Wednesday

Arrival at Amman's Queen Alia Airport in Jordan.  Our representative will meet you with a sign and will assist through visa procedures and luggage identification.  You will then meet your driver at the arrival hall and will be transferred to your hotel in Amman for the overnight stay.

Day 2 - Thursday.

After breakfast at the hotel you will head North for the extremely well preserved ancient city of Jerash.  Your guided tour there last approximately two hours.  You will then head back to Amman for a city tour of both the old and modern parts of the city.  Visits to the Citadel, the Roman Theater and both the Archeological and Folklore Museums are scheduled.  Overnight in hotel in Amman.

Day 3 - Friday

Depart from Amman and drive to Madaba.  After a brief visit to the Orthodox church of Saint George with its mosaic map you will top at the religiously significant Mount Nebo overlooking the River Jordan with its valley and site of two Papal visits in the last few years.  You will then make your way to the Dead Sea for a unique swim at earth's lowest point.  In late afternoon you will reach Petra where you will check in at your hotel.

Day 4 - Saturday

Breakfast at hotel.  Start of a full day visit to the Red Rose city of Petra, the ancient capital of the Nabateans.  The visit will include the main points of interest such as the "Siq", a long winding gorge between two walls of overhanging cliffs, the "Khazneh" more commonly referred to as the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Court House and the Amphitheater.  If time permits, the High Place of Sacrifice and the Monastery will also be visited.  After the tour return to the hotel in Petra for overnight.

Day 5 - Sunday

Breakfast at hotel and free time. Depart for Wadi Rum the most enchanting desert in the world.  A wide open space and a setting that resembles that of the moon, Wadi Rum will engulf you with its enigmatic lure.  We will arrange for a jeep tour for 2 hours inside the desert (people with back injuries or aches should avoid this part). Watch a majestic sunset and enjoy a dinner in the desert.  Transfer back to Petra for overnight.

Day 6 - Monday

Depart from Petra and drive to visit the magnificent Crusader fortress of Kerak with its magnificent views.   Continue to Jordan's Queen Alia Airport airport near Amman for the return flight to Larnaca, Cyprus . Our representative at the airport will assist through departure procedures.

Tour Prices and Hotels

Above prices are per adult person in shared double accommodation and with a minimum of two participants in the excursion.  Royal Jordan tour prices are subject to availability and are valid until October 31st, 2010.  Prices might change without prior notice so please check with us at the time of booking.  In case of no availability at the above mentioned hotels we will offer hotels of similar standard.  Low season is between June 1st to August 31st, 2010.  High season are the periods up to May 31st, 2010 and between September 1st to October 31st, 2010.
